Wedding: Wearing Gown as a Guest?
I have an evening wedding to go to in a week and I don't know if the dress I'm going to wear will be appropriate. It's a dark teal gown with spaghetti straps. Is it okay as a guest to wear a gown/floor length dress or is that reserved just for bridesmaids? My fiancee is one of the groomsmen and the bridesmaids are wearing silver. The wedding and reception will be held at a very elegant estate so I know it's formal but I don't want to be the odd one out if it turns out I'm overdoing it.

If its a formal evening wedding, I think the dress will be fine. Are you good enough friends with the bride and groom to ask them what they think. If there ok with it, then thats all that matters. And its not white or silver, so I say wear it and have a great time.
