As an official fan of this fantastic band, you may already be a member of the Ten Club, Pearl Jam's official fan club and taking advantage of some of the benefits of being a member. Pearl Jam recently appeared on Austin City Limits on Saturday, November 21 but it's important to respect and understand that Pearl Jam is not just about music. Pearl Jam has activism in its blood. From partial U.S. tour proceeds being donated to Pearl Jam's Vitalogy Foundation to their partnership with eco-friendly clothing designer Loomstate. In 2009, Pearl Jam launched yet another tour that marks twenty years of great music this band has been delivering to fans around the world.
In August, this year, Pearl Jam started their current tour in Calgary, Alberta Canada at the Canada Olympic Park. Fans raised the roof as the band opened the show with the smash hit "Why Go" and delighted the audience with nearly twenty songs before the set was complete. Two encores later, there was undoubtedly not a member in the house who didn't go home with the sound of Pearl Jam in their heads and humming, whether it was closing song "Yellow Ledbetter" or one of the many other hits performed.
Since that opening concert in August, Pearl Jam has taken the world by storm, performing fantastic venues in many different locations. Would you prefer a clear diamond or CZ, or a colored stone, pearl, etc? What color would you like?
I preferred a colored stone and that's what I got. It's a green sapphire, one of the most rare kinds. It has two clusters of diamonds on each side in a diamond shaped setting. Kind of art deco style. What I love about colored stones is that you often can afford a bigger colored stone for the same price as a smaller diamond. Also our jeweler told us that colored stones are more common than diamonds in Europe. Also, my jeweler, and many others I have met usually say the same thing: I like diamonds as accent stones, they are kind of boring as center stones. That's how I feel about them. I just felt like getting a diamond was kind of allowing myself to be duped. Sort of like how I wanted a pair of designer sunglasses for SO LONG. I finally saved up a little for them, put them on and then noticed this writing on the inside of them: Made in China. So, let me get this straight. I can buy a plastic pair of sunglasses for $20 bucks that was Made in China...or I can buy a pair of plastic, "designer" sunglasses for $100, also Made in China. They just jack up the price of diamonds and brainwash millions of women into thinking they want that because it's the "designer" stone. I am not really into that sort of thing.
