Dress help--and fast!?
I have to dress "business casual" for an Honors Congress meeting at my University tonight.
I am planning to wear a knee length black pencil skirt (polyester, wool, spandex, Alex Marie) and either
a turquoise shell (nylon, Antonio Melani) and a casual black cardigan (acrylic, Kim Rogers)
or this purple blouse that's like, pleated around the neckline and banded out the bottom (polyester) with the same cardigan.
And closed toed black heels.
Will this be acceptable, do you think? Can I just wear a nice silver necklace and earrings? Which top should I pick?
Honestly, this is what I am going to have to wear regardless, 'cause it's what I have, but I'd like to know if I am going to look out of place.
turqoise shell sounds like the better option.
keep in mind for business casual more muted colors are preferable but since it's a university a splash of color would be acceptable. the purple top sounds a bit too casual. good luck
